200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training
September 16, 2011–April 13, 2012

- Intensive study and practice of asana most commonly taught in Vinyasa Yoga
- Inquiry into the art of linking postures into intelligent, flowing sequences
- Interactive workshops to help you understand anatomy and physiology and apply their principles to yoga instruction
- Guidance in teaching meditation, pranayama, kriyas, and mantra
- Exploration of Yoga philosophy through reading, discussions, and writing about sacred texts
- Opportunities to observe and assist other teachers
- Invaluable feedback on your own teaching in a safe, supportive environment. Every participant will have ample opportunity to practice teaching, including a final class, open to members of the Yogawood community.
Qualifications
This training is designed for people with established vinyasa yoga practices. We recommend that you have at least one year of consistent practice under your belt before thinking about teaching.
Many people ask if they need to be able to demonstrate proficiency in specific postures in order to be considered. The answer is "no." Your practice and the range of postures you have ease with will change and grow during the course of the training.
You need to have taken at least one vinyasa class with Beth Filla before applying.
Schedule
This training will start with a session from 6:00–9:00 p.m. on Friday September 16, 2011 at Yogawood in Riverton. After that, we'll meet every Tuesday from September 20–December 20, 2011, and than again from January 3–April 10, 2012 from 6:00–9:00 p.m. All Tuesday meetings will take place at Yogawood in Collingswood.
We'll also meet on Saturday, September 24; Saturday, October 1; Sunday, October 9; and every Saturday from October15–December 3 from 11:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; December 10 and 17 from 11:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m.; and then January 7 and 21, February 4 and 18, March 3 and 31, and April 7 from 11:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. All Saturday sessions will be held at Yogawood in Collingswood. We'll also met on Fridays from 6:00–9:00 p.m. at Yogawood in Riverton on January 13 and 27, February 10 and 24, March 9 and 23, and April 13.
In addition to these classroom sessions, students are required to participate in at least two vinyasa yoga classes at Yogawood per week, and at least one of those needs to be with Beth. As the training progresses, there will be an assignment requiring you to attend at least four Sunday afternoon meditation sits at Yogawood in Collingswood. Students' final teaches will be scheduled at various times in the final weeks of the program. There will be books to read and written assignments to be completed during the training.

Tuition
Full tuition for this program is $2,800. A non-refundable deposit of $100 is due upon acceptance to the program. Following that, $300 payments are due: October 1 and 15, 2011; November 1 and 15, 2011; January 15, 2012; February 1 and 15, 2012; and March 1 and 15, 2012. Tuition does not cover the cost of a small number of books that are required reading, but does include all training sessions and materials, as well as unlimited drop-in classes at Yogawood during the months of training.
