Yogawood: Breathe. Live. Grow.

Yogawood Class Descriptions

Flow Yoga

Using Sun Salutations as the framework, these classes connect each posture with breath. The result is an active, moving meditation that improves strength, balance, and coordination.

Gentle Yoga

These slower-paced classes will leave you feeling grounded and tranquil.

Karma Yoga

This is the yoga of good deeds. Participants pay the regular rate for a drop in class (no class cards accepted for Karma classes, sorry!), and Yogawood donates all of the proceeds to a worthy non-profit group. These classes are held on the first Friday of each month beginning December 1st, 2006!

Powerful Flow Yoga

These flow yoga classes incorporate more challenging sequencing and postures. Develop strength, courage, and a sense of equanimity that will, with practice, stay with you long after class is over.

Therapeutic Yoga

These slower-paced classes are offered specifically for people living with conditions such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, auto-immune disorders, and ongoing back pain. Safely and skillfully taught with special attention to participants' abilities, these sessions truly make yoga accessible to every body.

Wake Up Yoga

Ease into your day by connecting breath with movement, strength with balance, and practice with intension. These morning flow classes are named in honor of Wake Up Yoga in Philadelphia, directed by Corina Benner, where Jill and Beth did their training.

Yin Yoga

Challenge yourself in a totally different way. Long-held, seated postures allow joints, ligaments, and deep soft tissues to open, increasing flexibility and mobility.
